Hot Pools Pass

Hi there,
We stayed at your accommodations on July 21 and we can't stop talking about it.  You have done a wonderful job with the suites.  It was so comfortable and welcoming, even for our family of 6.  Your pools were the best that we have seen yet.  We just wanted to say what a great job you are doing and we know that as you expand, it will be a top destination, especially for our family.

All the Best,
The Lancasters

Summer 2009 - The 6th Anniversary and Hot Pools of Crazy Creek Grand Opening July 6th – This month marks the 6th year of operation for Crazy Creek Waterfalls. When the ticket booth appeared midway between Sicamous and Revelstoke, some locals were appalled to see hiking trails enclosed. After a tour of the present facilities, everyone could appreciate the grand vision and substantial construction completed in just 5 years.

The wide plank boardwalks, viewing platforms, and 240' suspension bridge across the gorge were completed in 2002. The bridge allows viewers to be directly in front of the curtain and cascade falls. The High Mountain Patio, manager residence, Gift Shop and Ice Cream Parlour were built with a vision to develop a four-season destination that honours God's creation and blesses his people. A popular tourist site, the Crazy Creek features short hikes to the waterfall area, new accommodation, plus many family-oriented amenities including a brand new Hot Pools facility. The majority of net revenues generated by the Crazy Creek Resort will be distributed to charitable organizations including Trinity Western University in Langley, B.C. As well, donations towards water filters in undeveloped countries are encouraged at info kiosks.

Take a drive to the new ‘hot springs’ at Crazy Creek; three geo-thermally heated pools well-up from below the base of Eagle Pass Mountain. View the beautiful waterfalls from a new angle, a lounge chair on the deck. The cost of admission to the hot pool facility is $9 for adults and $6 for children (under 2 free). Phase 2 and 3 include a swimming pool and kid's water spray park plus the pedestrian overpass.

A grand mix of mountains, gorges, and waterways, these natural surroundings are a awesome place to spend time with friends. Families can hike , bike and hot pool; or picnic and settle down with a good book on the 2 acre sandbar and pebble beach where Crazy Creek joins the Eagle River. The 138 acres are largely undeveloped and one can watch for wildlife as well as search for historical remnants of the pioneer days. This site was once the village of Taft. A sawmill thrived from the late 1800’s and lumber was hauled from the valley by logging train. To power the sawmill water was piped from above Crazy Creek Waterfalls - through the gorge to the mill - via a fourteen inch wood stave pipeline. Large volumes of water (at up to 150 pounds pressure) turned the waterwheel which drove the large band saw. Watch for the waterwheels 33km east of Sicamous where the trailheads begin. Free picnic sites are available, as well as a fruit stand , patio grill, river walk, washrooms and sani-dump. No rig is too big for the new Hot Pools parking lot on the Trans-Canada Highway. The reception and accommodation is adjacent and from there it is an easy five minute walk to the falls . After years of negotiation a pedestrian over-pass has been approved by the Department of Highways and construction will begin.
